Adyanpara Waterfalls

The Adyanpara Falls is located in Kumbalangode village in Nilambur district. Nestled in the land of perennial springs and lush green mountains Adyanpara is a magnificent waterfall. Surrounded by the dense cover of evergreen forests, the water of this fall is believed to possess peculiar medicinal properties and is naturally purified. This region attracts a wide variety of exotic as well as migratory birds and is rich in wildlife.

It is located at a distance of about 12 km from the town of Nilambur and can be reached by taking the Nilambur-Ooty highway. After cascading through the rocks the waterfall forms a small pool which is a popular tourist attraction. Travellers can enjoy taking a dip in the cool water and indulge in the tranquility the spot offers. This waterfall originates from a famous mountain range of Vellarimala and after flowing for kilometres through rocks and dense forests before it joins River Chaliyar. Adyanpara Falls is about 300 ft high and is blessed with never-drying streams. Surrounded by evergreen forest, this waterfall offers a picturesque view and is a perfect spot for one day tours and family picnics.
